PawCare AI ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by VRV Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PawCare AI mobile application and website at pawcareai.app. By using our service, you consent to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account information - name and email address via Google or Apple Sign-In
• Pet profile data - pet name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, and photo
• Health records - vet visits, vaccines, medications, and weight logs you enter
• AI Coach conversations - messages you send to the AI symptom checker
• Usage data - app interactions and feature usage collected via Firebase Analytics
• Referral attribution data - if you install PawCare AI via a partner link or QR code (e.g. from a veterinary clinic), we and our attribution provider, ChottuLink, collect device and network information (such as device model, IP address, and timestamps) to match your install to that referral

If you contact us directly, we may receive your name, email, and the contents of your message.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the PawCare AI service
• To send push notifications for vaccine and medication reminders
• To generate AI-powered health coaching responses via OpenAI (Premium only)
• To generate your weekly AI health summary (Premium only)
• To manage your subscription via RevenueCat
• To credit a referring veterinary clinic or partner if you installed the app via their link or QR code, via ChottuLink
• To monitor app stability and crashes via Firebase Crashlytics
• To analyze usage trends and improve the app via Firebase Analytics
• To respond to support enquiries

3. Third-Party Services

PawCare AI uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

Important note about OpenAI: AI Coach messages are sent to OpenAI for processing. Please do not include sensitive personal information beyond your pet's health details. OpenAI does not use your data submitted via API to train their models.

Important note about ChottuLink: If you install PawCare AI after tapping a partner referral link or scanning a QR code (for example, one displayed at a veterinary clinic), ChottuLink helps us identify which partner referred you so we can credit them. This uses device and network signals rather than advertising identifiers, and is not used for cross-app advertising or shared with data brokers. If you install the app directly from the App Store or Google Play without using a partner link, this data collection does not apply to you.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage), protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us at support@pawcareai.app. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.

6. Cookies & Log Files

Our website (pawcareai.app) uses standard log files that record IP addresses, browser type, ISP, date/time stamp, and referring pages. This information is not linked to personally identifiable information and is used to analyze trends and administer the site.

We use cookies to store visitor preferences and optimize the user experience. You can disable cookies through your browser settings.

7. CCPA Privacy Rights (California)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to:

• Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected
• Request deletion of personal data we have collected
• Opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data)

8. GDPR Data Protection Rights (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

• Right to access - request copies of your personal data
• Right to rectification - request correction of inaccurate information
• Right to erasure - request deletion of your personal data
• Right to restrict processing - request we limit how we process your data
• Right to object - object to our processing of your data
• Right to data portability - request transfer of your data to another organisation

9. Children's Privacy

PawCare AI is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
